All board trustees have extensive experience
in the real estate sector. Unless otherwise indicated, all board
trustees have been with Cominar since the creation of the REIT
in 1998.
Robert Després, O.C., G.O.Q.(1) (3) Chairman of the Board and Trustee
Mr. Robert Després
is President of DRM Holdings Inc. and Chairman of the Board of
Domosys Corporation and Obzerv Technologies Inc. He is also a
member of the Board of Directors of the National Optics Institute,
GeneOhm Sciences Inc., and H.R.S Holdings Limited. He has also
been, throughout his career, a member of the Board of Directors
of several companies, including Camdev Corporation, Canada Malting
Co. Ltd, CFCF Inc., Domtar, Manulife Financial, Mitel Corporation,
National Trust Company, Norcen Energy Resources Limited, Alliance Forest Products Inc., Provigo
Inc., Sidbec-Dosco Inc., and Wajax. Mr. Després has a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Administration from Université Laval and is a Fellow of the Ordre des comptables généraux licenciés du Québec (CGA) and the Ordre des comptables en management accrédités du Québec (CMA). He presides
over Cominar’s Audit Committee.
Michel Dallaire,
P.Eng. Trustee, President and Chief Executive
Officer
Mr. Michel Dallaire was appointed President
and Chief Executive Officer of Cominar in April 2005. He has close
to 20 years of experience with Cominar, having served as President
and Chief Operating Officer from 2003 to 2005, and Executive Vice
President, Operations up until 2003. Prior to joining Cominar,
he worked as an engineer for Dupuis Côté, a Quebec
City engineering firm. Mr. Dallaire holds a bachelor’s degree
in engineering from Université Laval and is a member of
Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Michel Paquet Trustee, Senior Executive Vice President
Mr. Michel Paquet was appointed
to his current position in 2010, prior to which he was Cominar’s Executive Vice President, Legal Affairs since 1986.
From 1983 to 1986, Mr. Paquet practiced law with the Quebec City
law firm of Charest & Associés. From 1979 to 1983,
he was a member of the law firm of Paradis, Chabot & Paquet
in Thetford Mines. Mr. Paquet holds a bachelor’s degree in
law from Université de Sherbrooke and is a member of the
Quebec Bar Association.
Alain Dallaire has held the position of Executive Vice President, Leasing and Commercial Operations of Cominar since 2005. He has in excess of 10 years experience in real estate and broad expertise across the entire range of Cominar's leasing activities. He was appointed as Trustee in November 2006.
Pierre Gingras(4) Trustee
Mr. Pierre Gingras is President of Placements Moras, a real estate
investment company. He was the co-founder and Vice President of
Jacques G. Parent Inc., an actuary firm. Mr. Gingras is Chairman
of the Board of Reliure Sélect Inc. He was a director of Fédération
des Caisses populaires Desjardins de Québec from 1989 to
2000 and of The Imperial Life Insurance Company from 1994 to 1998.
Mr. Gingras holds an MBA from Université Laval. He presides over Cominar's Investment Committee.
Gérard Coulombe, Q.C.(2) (3) Trustee
Gérard Coulombe is a partner at Lavery L.L.P., a leading law firm, where he practises business law. He holds a law degree from Ottawa University and has done post-graduate studies at Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He is listed by LEXPERT as a leading practitioner in banking, corporate finance and securities and mergers and acquisitions. He sits on the board of directors of several corporations, including Club de Hockey Canadien Inc., National Bank Life Insurance Company, National Bank Group Inc., National Bank Trust Inc., Robichaud Conseil Inc. and Casavant Frères, L.P. Mr. Coulombe presides over Cominar's Compensation Committee.
Ghislaine Laberge(2) (3) (4) Trustee
Ms. Ghislaine Laberge has been a real estate investment consultant
since 1995. From 1992 to 1994, she held the position of Vice President,
Mortgage Investments at Assurance vie Desjardins, and from 1987
to 1992, she was Vice President, Mortgage Investments of Caisse
de dépôt et placement du Québec. Ms. Laberge
has since 1993 been a director of several subsidiaries of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec of which Cadim Inc., Hypothèques CDPQ Inc., N45 Inc. and Otera Holding Inc.
Dino Fuoco(1) (4) Trustee
Mr. Dino Fuoco brings 30 years of experience in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He is a fellow of the Québec Certified Management Accountant Corporation. He has held senior executive positions at several companies, including Société générale de financement du Québec and Alliance Forest Products Inc. He is President of Matvet veterinary equipment Inc. Mr. Fuodo sits on the board of directors of several companies including SFK Pulp Fund and Capital BLF Inc. Mr. Fuoco presides over Cominar's Audit Committee.
Alban D'Amours(1) (2) Trustee
Alban D’Amours was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Desjardins Group from 2000 to 2008. In 1988 he joined the Confédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, where he held various management positions. Previously, he held different offices in the Quebec civil service, including Associate Deputy Minister of Energy and Deputy Minister of Revenue. He began his career with Université de Sherbrooke where he was a tenured professor in economics after his doctoral studies with a major in monetary policy, public finance and econometrics. Mr. D'Amours is president of the Confédération Internationale des Banques Populaires, member of the Board of Directors of the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation and GenePOC Inc., former member of the Board of Directors of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and former chairman of the Board of Directors of the Université de Sherbrooke.
