FPI Cominar

Cominar’s main goals are as follows:

  • To provide unitholders with growing cash distributions that are payable monthly and, to the extent possible, tax-deferred

  • To maximize unit value
In order to increase distributions and unitholders’ return on investment, Cominar employs prudent and flexible growth, operational risk, and debt management practices. We work to achieve these goals using the following main strategies:
  • Acquiring, building, redeveloping, and expanding income-producing properties that hold out potential for increases in unitholder return

  • Managing our real estate portfolio proactively to increase occupancy rates and net rental revenues

  • Balancing revenue distribution among our three sectors of activity (office, retail, and industrial and mixed-use properties) to reduce the impact of any downturn in one sector and maintain stable, regular growth

  • Holding properties in both the Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa and Maritimes regions to increase market exposure and keep costs down through economies of scale

  • Managing debt prudently to increase growth and ensure the stability of future distributions
